Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
Here’s my recipe for Hawaiian Sweet Rolls perfect as a side dish for many dinners! Make Hawaiian sweet rolls tonight and don’t forget to add butter!
One of my favorite things to make as a side dish for family dinner is Hawaiian sweet rolls. They really add incredible flavor to any meal and are a fantastic buttery complement to any meat dish. Add some grass fed butter to these to really add some caloric depth to your meal.
This recipe makes about 16 rolls so you will have an abundant amount for the whole family, which is great because they will go fast!

Ingredients
1 pkg active dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water (not hot 105 to 115 degrees)
3/4 cup lukewarm milk, scalded then cooled
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1/4 cup soft shortening
3 1/2 to 3 3/4 cups Gold Medal Flour
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 can (1 lb 4 1/2 oz.) crushed pineapple, well drained
2 tbsp soft butter
Instructions
Dissolve yeast in water
Measure flour by dip level pour method
Stir in milk, granulated sugar, salt, egg, shortening, and half the flour
Mix with spoon until smooth
Mix in rest of flour
Turn dough onto well floured board
Knead until smooth, about 5 min
Round up in greased bowl; cover
Let rise about 1 1/2 hr
Melt 1/3 cup butter in sq pan, 9x9x1 3/4″
Stir in brown sugar, lemon juice, and 1/2 of pineapple
Roll dough into rectangle, 16×9″
Spread with 2 tbsp butter and rest of pineapple
Roll up beginning at wide side
Cut into 16 slices
Place in pan
Let rise about 45 min
Heat oven to 375 degrees (mod hot); bake about 35 min
Invert pan and serve warm
